Beauty and Wellness by Ana
A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of being invited to tour a new business, Beauty and Wellness. Beauty and Wellness is run by Ana Maria Manzano Lopez, who specializes in permanent makeup and esthetics.
Ana began her education in this field with Cosmetology at John A. Logan College. During her time enrolled, she realized her passion was skin care instead of hair. Being propelled by passion, she then joined PHI Academy, a prestigious school for permanent makeup. There, she began training in microblading and permanent makeup. Ana is also certified in Latin Brows, a unique microblading technique that uses different shading than standard microblading. She regularly attends trainings to grow her knowledge and expand services.
Still in love with skin care, Ana returned to school again to become an Esthetician. Soon after becoming licensed, she started offering services and realized she loved what she was doing. While practicing esthetics and growing her knowledge, she started Oncology Training. This provided knowledge to specialize in skin conditions relating to cancer treatment. This specialty is close to Ana’s heart, as she has lost family members to cancer and knows the unique struggles these patients face. Her goal is to repair damage to improve not only skin health, but a patient’s mental health has well.
It became apparent in talking with Ana that she is devoted to her community, something I love! She attends local events, supports other businesses, and engages with local businesses on social media.
I had the most amazing facial with Ana! She tackled my problem areas with ease, was thorough in her examinations, and explained each steps purpose. We chatted like old friends and I thought, “I should do this regularly.” If you need a facial, permanent makeup, etc. and want a perfectionist - book Ana.
